Episode 276 – The AFTN Soccer Show (World Cup Fever with guests Kendall Waston, Efrain Juarez, Aly Ghazal, Anibal Godoy, and Harold Cummings)

With the Whitecaps off on a bye week, the AFTN crew are gripped by World Cup fever this week, as we look at the current tournament in Russia and celebrate the future one coming to North America in 2026.

We kick things off with big news of the week for Canadian fans and that is the successful bid to bring the 2026 World Cup to North American shores. Not Vancouver, but we can still rejoice right?

Plus we talk World Cup memories and hopes, and look through some old Panini sticker albums, with Kendall Waston (Costa Rica), Efrain Juarez (Mexico), Aly Ghazal (Egypt), and Anibal Godoy and Harold Cummings (Panama). Plus we can’t leave Scotland out, so their 1982 World Cup squad sing their hearts out in this week’s Wavelength section.
