Vancouver Whitecaps v CD Olimpia – The Story In Pictures

It was only his second professional goal, but Kianz Froese’s 42nd looping effort put Vancouver Whitecaps in the driver’s seat for CONCACAF Champions League qualification and secured a 1-0 win over Honduran champions CD Olimpia.

Then in the 43rd minute, the breakthrough, as Nicolas Mezquida plays in Darren Mattocks

The ball doesn’t want to go with Darren

So Kianz Froese comes in to loop the ball in the net. 1-0 Caps

Mattocks squanders another chance minutes later

But Darren is a trier and gives the Olimpia defence a torrid time at the start of the second half
