Whitecaps Empire Field Seating Plan Revealed

Following on from the away fans ticketing debacle we reported on earlier today, strange things have now happened to the Whitecaps ticketmaster page.

As we reported on Sunday when we first broke the Toronto ticketing story, Ticketmaster had all of the Empire Field games listed with prices from $29.50 and with an on sale date of this coming Saturday.

When you check the Ticketmaster site now though, the dates are still listed but you cannot click on to the onsale date and the prices are showing that the tickets cost $0 with a booking fee of $7.25. Yay for free tickets. Nice!

What the Ticketmaster site does show us though is the new Whitecaps seating plan for Empire Field and here it is in all it’s full glory:

If you think something doesn’t look right then that’s because it might not be. There’s no retractable seating shown in the Southside. Might be an error, might be because the Caps aren’t having it. We don’t know just yet.

Following on from our earlier article as well, it would appear that the non alcohol section is now not going to be where it is for the Lions and is in the corner of a green priced section. Good news for the away fans, bad news for the families roundabout them!

Strange, looks like the blue and the purple switched. On the Whitecaps' website I purchased seats in the blue, and the Southsiders were supposed to be my left, but looks like at Empire they'll be on my right.

Hope it's correct because I have several friends who are in blue and I thought they were going to be on the opposite side but now they'll be next to me. 🙂
