AFTN Extra Podcast – Episode 112 [Portland Preview with special guest Dax McCarty]

There’s nothing like a derby game, so it’s extra special that Vancouver Whitecaps have a slew of them in the next few weeks. With Toronto already dispatched last weekend, Portland are next up this weekend, before a pair of matches against Seattle in the Champions Cup.

It’s the Timbers match we’re delving into in this 44-minute episode as we look ahead to Saturday’s game at Providence Park and hear some pregame thoughts from Portland head coach Phil Neville. We’re also joined by Apple TV MLS360 analyst Dax McCarty to look ahead to the game and chat about the Whitecaps’ 2025, their start to the new season, the start of the MLS season in general, and some potential World Cup Whitecaps.
