Vancouver Whitecaps v LA Galaxy – The Story In Pictures
What a game. What a win. What a masterful performance. It can still get better though and the ‘Caps can certainly improve and that’s what you’re wanting five games in, especially when you’re already top of the standings.
It’s a bit of an overused phrase but the win against LA was certainly something of a statement game from Vancouver. Second half goals from Kekuta Manneh and Octavio Rivero ultimately did the damage, and it should have been more. At the other end, Kendall Waston was tremendous once again and the defensive midfield shield of Matias Laba and Russell Teibert mopped up everything the Galaxy could feebly muster. LA had just one shot on target the whole game. That in itself says it all.
AFTN photographer Tom Ewasiuk was there to capture all the action before, during and after the game and here’s his “Story In Pictures” [Check out his website www.residualimagephotography.com for more of his photos and work].
