Episode 724 – The AFTN Soccer Show (The Beast Inside – Whitecaps stun Timbers, Vanni wins on Vancouver return, MLS and CPL round-ups, World Cup countdown continues)
We’re back with another AFTN Soccer Show packed full of Vancouver Whitecaps, Major League Soccer, Canadian Premier League, Canadian national team, and general football chat and interviews.
The Whitecaps came away with a huge three points against Cascadian rivals Portland Timbers at the weekend thanks to two dramatic stoppage time goals. We pick over the bones of that one and the main talking points coming out of the game, plus we hear from Portland head coach Phil Neville and chat about the fallout from his postgame comments.
We also round-up all the weekend action in the MLS West and the CPL, and chat with Halifax Wanderers head coach Vanni Sartini after his emotional first win in his first match in the league.
