Episode 445 – The AFTN Soccer Show (TFC v Vancouver Preview Show featuring Bruno Gaspar, Caio Alexandre, and Kristin Knowles)

The latest AFTN Soccer Show is out for another packed show of Vancouver Whitecaps, MLS, and Canadian football chat.

Joe Deasy is back with another preview podcast and he’s joined this week by Gideon Hill to look ahead to the Whitecaps’ Canadian derby against Toronto FC in Orlando on Saturday.

What can we take from the ‘Caps win over Portland last weekend and TFC’s loss to Montreal? Will it be the same again for the ‘Caps in terms of their line-up? How much of a factor with the Florida afternoon heat and humidity be? The guys delve into all of that and a lot more.

To get more of an insight into the Whitecaps opponents on Saturday, Kristin Knowles from the excellent Vocal Minority podcast joins us to chat all things TFC from their offseason changes to their CCL run to their prospects in MLS this year.

There’s also audio from ‘Caps coach Marc Dos Santos looking ahead to this weekend’s match, and we chat with the two most recent arrivals into the ‘Caps camp, Portuguese right back Bruno Gaspar and Brazilian midfielder Caio Alexandre to find out what made them make the move to MLS and what fans can expect to see from them this season.
