Episode 741 – The AFTN Soccer Show (Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes – Whitecaps drop points on road, Berhalter off to Boro, MLS roster rules)
We’re back with another AFTN Soccer Show packed full of Vancouver Whitecaps, Major League Soccer, and Canadian Premier League chat.
The Whitecaps finally got back to MLS action this past week with a tough two-game road trip that saw them head home to Vancouver with just a solitary point from games against FC Cincinnati and Minnesota United. We look at the good, the bad, and the ugly coming out of those two matches, with very little in the first category but a lot of concern in the other two. Adding to that concern are more injury woes, no new signings seeming imminent, and the confirmed departed of key midfield piece Sebastian Berhalter to Middlesbrough.
We also look at Thomas Müller lighting up the MLS All Star Game activities, MLS discussing much-needed changes to their roster rules and regulations, and round-up the weekend’s action in the CPL.
