Episode 725 – The AFTN Soccer Show (Flying So High – Whitecaps go first after NYCFC win, MLS and CPL round-ups, more World Cup ticket controversy)

We’re back with another AFTN Soccer Show packed full of Vancouver Whitecaps, Major League Soccer, Canadian Premier League, Canadian national team, and World Cup 2026 chat.

The Whitecaps headed back to the summit of MLS at the weekend with a workmanlike 2-0 victory over NYCFC. We pick over the bones of the match and the main talking points coming out of it, chat about the importance of the returned from injury Andres Cubas with Jesper Sorensen, and round-up the weekend’s MLS action as CF Montreal once again find themselves looking for a new head coach.

We also round up the weekend’s action the CPL, look at the Canadian men’s national team’s current injury woes, and chat about some of this week’s World Cup 2026 talking points, including more ticket pricing controversy.
