Episode 216 – The AFTN Soccer Show (Purple Patch)

Vancouver Whitecaps are moving on up. Are they set to hit a purple patch of the season? Seven points from three tough matches bodes well, but can they find the consistency they are needing to take them down the stretch and finish in one of the top two places in the West.

We look back at he home draw against Seattle and the win on the road in Orlando. The ‘Caps gave up a lot of shots and a lot of possession but still came away with four points from the six on the table, moving them up fourth in the standings. What went right? What’s a cause for concern? And what players stood out for good and bad reasons?

We look at all that and more, plus we’re joined by Radio Cascadia’s Steven Agen to look at the teams in the Western Conference right now and how things might shake out in the mix. And Half Man Half Biscuit return for our Wavelength section, we talk ice cream with Gordon Forrest, and find out if Robert Earnshaw fancies a Chocolate Digestive.
