Episode 225 – The AFTN Soccer Show (Limp Biscuits with guests Stewart Kerr, Jordan Harvey, Nosa Igiebor, and Darren Mattocks)

Vancouver Whitecaps have limped into the playoffs. For the second straight week they had a chance to finish first in the West and for the second straight week, they blew it.

Joe Deasy and Gideon Hill join Steve in the studio to look over all the ins and outs of the ‘Caps loss in Portland. What went wrong, what was with the line up, and did anyone stand out, in a good way? Plus we hear from both head coaches, Vancouver’s Carl Robinson and Portland’s Caleb Porter

We also have exclusive interviews with Whitecaps Jordan Harvey and Nosa Igiebor about the match, Nosa’s debut, and the MLS playoff path ahead, plus Portland’s game winner Darren Mattocks chats about sticking it to his old club.

Now that that regular season is done and dusted, we look ahead to the MLS playoffs, previewing Wednesday’s knockout game against San Jose and giving our bracket predictions. And there’s still time to chat with ‘Caps goalkeeping coach Stewart Kerr about the Marinovic/Ousted conundrum, and see Goldie Lookin’ Chain return again in this week’s Wavelength.
