It’s good to have constants in your life, right? When a weakened team comes to B.C. Place, Vancouver Whitecaps fail to rise to the occasion seems to be one of those, and it was the same again on Saturday night when a highly depleted LA Galaxy side came and left with a point in a 0-0 draw.
We pick over the bones of that game and individual performances, and hear from Galaxy head coach Sigi Schmid and ‘Caps coach Carl Robinson. Plus we look back at the Whitecaps report card on the squad four games in.
Turning our attention to the ‘Caps defence, we discuss the overturning of Kendall Waston’s red card, sit down for a chat with Uruguayan centre back Jose Aja about his move to Vancouver and how he’s settling in, and we find out if Aaron Maund fancies a chocolate digestive.
All this plus we chat with Canada national team and LAFC midfielder Mark-Anthony Kaye, look at the week’s action in MLS West, discuss MLS derbies, look at some of the stories making the news around the world, and Half Man Half Biscuit are back in this week’s Wavelength section.
