Maxime Crepeau celebrated a very unique Sweet Sixteen on Saturday evening in San Jose, claiming the MLS record for the number of saves in a game. Imagine how bad Saturday could have gone for Vancouver Whitecaps if he hadn’t.
It’s a great personal achievement but a bad team one. We look back over the debacle and ponder just where it all went wrong. We lift the mood though with a very enjoyable chat with one of the newest Whitecaps, Tosaint Ricketts, as do a career so far retrospective with the striker, and boy, does he have some tales to tell.
Moving away from MLS, we turn our attention to the Canadian Premier League and bring you some interesting chats. First up is former Whitecap Ben Fisk, as we talk about his move to Pacific FC and the league in general. Plus we also chat with Pacific head coach Michael Silberbauer and Valour’s Rob Gale about their respective seasons so far, the run-in, and what things need to change in the CPL for year two.
Plus there’s the week’s happenings in MLS, our latest Wavelength and BC Soccerweb headlines.
