Episode 370 – The AFTN Soccer Show (Don’t Mention The VAR with special guest Axel Schuster)

It’s another packed offseason show as we bring you lots of Vancouver Whitecaps and MLS chat.

We look at the big talking points from the past week in Whitecapsland as the rumours about Lucas Cavallini coming to Vancouver have not only grown arms and legs, but a body too. Will he come? Is it a good move? And how will he fit into the team and MLS?

We also look at Marc Dos Santos getting fined for criticising the league and sit down for a lengthy 45 minute chat with the Whitecaps’ new Sporting Director Axel Schuster about the direction and plan for the club heading into the 2020’s.

We also continue our section to pick our Whitecaps of the current decade, the 2010’s, looking at the midfield this week and struggling to nail down our final four. Let us know if you agree.

Plus there’s a song about interim Everton manager Duncan Ferguson in this week’s Wavelength, The New Royal Family continue their residency as our artists of the month for December, and there’s BC Soccerweb headlines.

Here’s the rundown for the main segments from the episode:
