Episode 374 – The AFTN Soccer Show (The Roaring Twenties – End of Year Review Part 2, Predictions and Wishes, and Tosaint Ricketts’ Football Firsts)

The year is over, the decade is done. We’re left with memories of the past, some good, many bad, and a hope for what is to come in the years ahead.

Our first show of 2020 picks up where the last one left off, as we finish our 2019 year in review with a look at the big Whitecaps, MLS, CPL, and Canadian soccer stories in the months of July to December.

There’s also a look at some of the Whitecaps’ highlights and biggest busts from the last decade, but we’re not just looking to the past as we look into our crystal balls to make some predictions and cast some wishes for the 2020s.

We also chat with Whitecaps striker Tosaint Ricketts about some of his football firsts, look ahead to some options for the ‘Caps in Thursday’s MLS draft, and we kick off a month of FA Cup themed tunes in Wavelength with one from former Cardiff City striker Steven Thompson. We also have our first Artists of the Month for the new year, as German band Gurr take up residency.
