Episode 564 – The AFTN Soccer Show (Feelings That I Can’t Disguise with guest Levonte Johnson)

We’re back with another packed show of Canadian soccer chat. As the feast of footballing action continues across the country, we’ll be talking Vancouver Whitecaps, Major League Soccer, and the FIFA World Cup in this episode.

Vancouver Whitecaps got back to winning ways on Saturday evening with a well deserved derby win over Seattle Sounders at BC Place, after their midweek loss in Dallas. We look back at both of those matches and the main talking points coming out of them around the team and individual players. Plus we delve into the Whitecaps and MLS salaries that were released this week and ponder the good, the bad, and the ugly amongst them.

Our feature interview this week is with WFC2 forward Levonte Johnson who is having a great season in MLS Next Pro and has already been called up and scored with the first team in the Canadian championship. Plus we talk the Whitecaps Girls cup success in Zurich, the FIFA U20 World Cup, and the awfulness that is the newly revealed logo for the 2026 World Cup here in North America.

All of this plus music from Ash, Grian Chatten, Goldie Lookin’ Chain, and P. Way.
